Experience and Dedication: •Experienced 1-to-1 tutor who provides personalized guidance based on each student’s learning pace and needs.
•Previously worked at KidZania, where I gained valuable experience interacting with and guiding children in engaging activities.
•Skilled at communicating clearly and building rapport with students, helping them feel comfortable asking questions.
•Use simple explanations and interactive methods to make subjects easier to understand.
•Patient and supportive, focused on building students’ confidence and improving their academic performance.
Experience and Dedication: I offer a bespoke, specialty-based tutoring service. I will look to first build up the analytical and writing skills my students require in writing compelling and rich material in absolutely any essay, summary, or AQ they are faced with, then look toward honing my students’ confidence in. Then, I will look to my students’ specific subject interests to build up content mastery over their preferred fields, for them to hold a decisive edge over the questions they choose to tackle in Paper 1.
My lessons will be as broad as coming up with tailored essay plans for as many questions as needed, and can also be as specific as looking at wordsmithing sentences in order to ensure that my students acquire the ability to express themselves in a clear and concise manner – a valuable skill, in a time when every other GP student is looking to pack as much over-the-top vocabulary in their essays as possible.
The best ideas my students have do not always come in the few hours I have with them each week. That is why I am prepared to offer round-the-clock academic advice over text, as well as current affairs updates for my students.
I am also an active Debate Coach. Having consistently ranked among the top 20 speakers in Singapore, judged tournaments both locally and internationally, and made the National Youth Development Team, I am familiar with teaching my debaters how to come up with arguments which win debates under time pressure, for a very wide range of current affairs. I believe in and can impart these same skills for what is essentially the same task faced in GP.
Experience and Dedication: I have prepared slides for use and reference for my students after every class and enjoy helping them succeed in their endeavours.
