Yip Cheng Hou

Gender: Male
Qualification: University
Type of Tutor: Current MOE Teacher
Experience (in year): More to 10 years
Experience and Dedication: As a passionate Physics teacher with 24 years of experience, I've successfully connected complex concepts to students' everyday lives, motivating them to excel. Feedback from existing and former students confirmed my engaging lessons helped them understand abstract physics concepts. Having led the Physics teams in two schools, I utilized data-driven approaches to set targets, monitor progress, and deploy strategies for diverse learners. This yielded significant, sustained improvements in GCE O-level exams. I continued professional growth through MOE HQ's CPDD, contributing to syllabus reviews and effectively implementing revised curricula upon returning to teaching.

Mohamad Malek

Gender: Male
Qualification: University
Type of Tutor: Ex-MOE Teacher
Experience (in year): More to 10 years
Experience and Dedication: Basic teaching methods: 1. Students will be guided to have a sense of purpose for their learning. This will motivate them to strive for excellence. 2. Students will be made to realise that the outcome is determined by their efforts. They need to have a positive attitude and a growth mindset in facing challenges. 3. Rot learning is not the way. Students will be taught until they fully understand the concepts. They will be strongly encouraged to ask for clarification should they have any doubts. A rule of thumb is, if they are convinced of the explanation then they have understood. 4. Once they understand the concepts or methods, they will be guided on how to remember what they have learnt. 5. They will be guided on how to apply the concepts that they have understood and memorised to examination questions.
