I am an experienced teacher in the preschool sector for 7 years; I have worked in 3 preschools and exposed to their various in house training, curriculum and an active contributor to lesson planing.
Each child is unique in their learning style and pace, it is my belief that a good teacher is also a good observer of their needs and can adapt their teaching to cater to them. My last vocation was in the Montessori environment which places a great emphasis on the teacher to be a good observer of the children and to guide them through individualised planning according to a developmentally appropriate, well curated and intentional trajectory.
Throughout my teaching experience I have been a teacher of all levels from PG to K2 ( 18months -6 years) in both separate and mixed age group setting, culmulatively, teaching more than 120 children. I believe that learning should be enjoyable and a tool for a child to build their self-confidence.
I have been a tutor for about 4-5 consecutive years to children from N1-P1 with my main subject in Phonics. 2 children have succeeded with transition to international programme. In addition, I have also taught conversational English to a Chinese (adult). I customised all learning via self-curated worksheets and individualised sourcing.
