I also teach A level Physics.I am a certified Microsoft Innovative Educator and have participated in various STEM education projects. Experience and Dedication: I’m a full-time tutor dedicated to helping students build strong foundations and real understanding, not just memorization. I tailor each lesson to the student’s level and pace, with a focus on clear explanations, step-by-step guidance, and consistent practice. My students have achieved significant improvements, including PSLE jumps from C to A, and O-Level progress from failing to B3 in A-Math and Science. I track progress closely, provide regular feedback, and aim to build confidence alongside academic results. One of my students started the year with low 60s for English, especially struggling with writing and open-ended comprehension. After months of consistent writing practice, guided feedback, and targeted revision, she improved to 75+ for her prelims and eventually did well in her PSLE. Her composition became more structured and expressive, and she learned to approach comprehension questions more systematically. I’ve consistently seen P6 students improve by 10–15 marks across the year when given regular support and feedback. One of my P2 students was initially weak in spelling and sentence formation, often scoring around 60% for English. After 3–4 months of weekly lessons focused on phonics, vocabulary building, and writing practice, she improved to above 80% in her SA2 exam. Her writing became more expressive, and she was able to form longer, grammatically correct sentences. Parents also noticed she became more confident reading aloud and completing worksheets independently. O level English: I focus on refining both language skills and exam strategies. My approach emphasises clarity in writing, precise comprehension answering, and strong planning techniques for essays. I guide students to structure their compositions with stronger introductions, logical flow, and impactful conclusions, while helping them expand their vocabulary naturally. For Paper 2, I teach students how to identify key question types and answer with the right balance of content and technique. I also give detailed feedback on written work and do regular timed practices to build confidence under exam conditions. One of my Sec 4 students came in struggling with both comprehension and continuous writing, often scoring borderline passes. Over several months, we worked on her planning and answering structure, and by the time of her prelims, she had improved to a B3. Another student who was weaker in summary and situational writing improved from C5 to A2 in the O-Level English exam. With consistent feedback and practice, I’ve helped students raise their grades by 2–3 bands in under a year. I focus on building strong conceptual understanding and improving answering techniques, especially for open-ended questions. For P6 Science, I use visual aids like diagrams and mind maps to help students grasp abstract concepts, and I guide them to use the correct keywords expected in PSLE answers. I also break down long questions into simpler steps, so students learn how to tackle them confidently. My teaching is structured but flexible and adapts based on each student's pace. I reinforce learning through topical reviews, past year papers, and assessment books. Notable grade improvements seen in your students for this level & subject: One of my P6 students started with low C-range scores in Science and struggled with applying concepts and structuring open-ended answers. After a few months of focused lessons, she improved her clarity and accuracy in explanations and eventually scored a B in her PSLE Science, a significant jump from where she started. In my group classes, students typically see 10–15 mark improvements in their school exams over a few months, especially when given consistent practice with targeted feedback.
