I teach piano to students of all ages, from young kids (as young as 3) to adults, through both group and 1-on-1 lessons. My approach is to keep lessons engaging by focusing on what students love—whether it's playing pop songs or mastering technique—while using creative methods to maintain their interest. I aim to instill not only musical skills but also important values like patience and discipline, helping students enjoy music and stay motivated long-term.
I believe there are many ways to learn to play a song, be it through singing or solfege or reading the notes. Singing along not only helps expand their vocabulary and pronunciation, it encourages emotional expression by connecting with the song's feelings, and most importantly, it keeps practice fun and engaging!
