Experience and Dedication: Hi! I’m Yuqing, an experienced tutor specialising in Primary and Lower Secondary Math and Chinese.
I’ve been teaching for the past two years, focusing on helping students build strong foundations through clear explanations, guided practice, and techniques that improve understanding rather than memorisation.
I’ve helped students make significant improvements — for example, one of my P6 students improved from just passing to AL2 for PSLE Math, and another went from failing Chinese to AL3 within a year. I achieve this by tailoring my lessons to each student’s learning style, strengthening their vocabulary, composition skills, comprehension techniques, and problem-solving abilities.
I’m patient, encouraging, and work closely with parents to track progress. I also use engaging methods like word games, storybooks, and real-life examples to help students develop genuine interest in the subject.
Experience and Dedication: I have taken the Chinese examinations in Singapore and have taught Mandarin to students of various ages (mostly 7–12) and cultural backgrounds. My teaching focuses on addressing students’ weaknesses and encouraging their initiative. The ultimate goal is to enable students to learn and progress independently. Having once been a student with poor grades myself, I share the same mindset as students who struggle with the language, which allows me to understand their challenges and help them overcome difficulties effectively.
