Experience and Dedication: Previously tutored P4 Science and Maths, student improved from a B to an A within 4 months, from borderline 70% to 85%. At first, the student was very weak in applying Science to his daily life, but I continuously highlighted how Science is actually just a study of our daily lives and he could answer applications with ease. Another example was his improvement in Heuristic topics like Gaps and Intervals, where Intervals is always equals to Gaps-1. I believe in making the student understand what he or she is learning and do not believe in rote learning. Application and shortcuts to fully understanding or grasping a topic is integral in mastering a topic. I will follow a structured teaching programme starting off with the areas the student is weak in, followed by the topics taught congruent to the school’s pace. I also believe in communicating with the parents and their child/children efficiently and genuinely in a timely and appropriate fashion and will assign weekly homework using past year papers, worksheets etc. and provide timely feedback when necessary.

Experience and Dedication: I've had more than 3 years of experience teaching Primary School students in Chinese. Students had great improvement from AL 6 to AL 3 / AL 4 minimally for PSLE. My teaching style consists of practice questions used to identify the student’s areas of weakness. Additional focus is given to topics that require more reinforcement. If the student needs further practice in Comprehension and Composition, extra exercises will be provided in these areas.
