Experience and Dedication: Student attained AL2 for PSLE English and got admitted into Dunman High School. Currently teaching a sec 1 and a P5 student English.
I customise lessons for all my students to target and focus on their weaknesses and preferences, focusing on learning progression to gear students towards what the exam requires. My lessons are gradual and progressive, making learning English fun for students instead of stressful.
Experience and Dedication: I am currently tutoring secondary school students from China in English, Math & Science. They are quite weak with their conversational English and foundation, so we focus more on oral practice, editing and grammar practices. I am also writing notes for a tuition centre for Sec 3/4, so I am quite familiar with the syllabus. For subjects like Math & Science, the focus of my tutoring will be going through assignments completed by the student as homework. From there, I will be able to identify the student's weaknesses and provide additional resources to allow the student to receive more practice. For subjects like English, we will focus on the elements of English that the student is more weak at (comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, oral, composition writing). For all subjects, I believe that receiving feedback is the most important in order for the student to correct themselves accordingly and improve. Hence, I will be assigning homework & marking it regularly.
Experience and Dedication: I have taught in all levels and interacted with both local and international students. I believe in providing scaffolding for students to engage in self-discovery learning and also expose them to multiple world views through a discursive approach to conducting lessons.

Experience and Dedication: I have over 15 years of tutoring experience, mainly in English Language, supporting students with a wide range of abilities. I am Orton–Gillingham trained and have previously worked as a Literacy Intervention Teacher, providing structured, evidence-based support for students with literacy difficulties. I am currently an English Language Teacher in a MOE specialised school, where I design and deliver targeted literacy and language interventions. I am passionate about helping students build confidence and make meaningful progress through explicit, differentiated instruction.
Experience and Dedication: Previously tutored P4 Science and Maths, student improved from a B to an A within 4 months, from borderline 70% to 85%.
At first, the student was very weak in applying Science to his daily life, but I continuously highlighted how Science is actually just a study of our daily lives and he could answer applications with ease. Another example was his improvement in Heuristic topics like Gaps and Intervals, where Intervals is always equals to Gaps-1.
I believe in making the student understand what he or she is learning and do not believe in rote learning. Application and shortcuts to fully understanding or grasping a topic is integral in mastering a topic. I will follow a structured teaching programme starting off with the areas the student is weak in, followed by the topics taught congruent to the school’s pace. I also believe in communicating with the parents and their child/children efficiently and genuinely in a timely and appropriate fashion and will assign weekly homework using past year papers, worksheets etc. and provide timely feedback when necessary.
Experience and Dedication: No tutoring experience but im great with children, personally: im cheerful, easy to talk with, patient, organised, and adaptable
Teaching style:
- Concept before calculation
→ Students must understand the logic before touching numbers.
- Thinking Like an Examiner → Students learn how marks are awarded and how answers are penalised.
- Confidence through Repetition & Structure
→ Mastery comes from guided practice → independent practice → exam simulation.
