Have experience tutoring online After 4 years of studying accounting, I realise that it can be difficult to grasp the concept of accounts without understanding real world examples. Currently, my student finds it difficult to understand how journal entries work or tend to hard memorise certain concepts. In this case, I’ll usually give a more realistic example or help them draw out what an account is for so that they can understand better why certain things are done a certain way. This makes sure the student understands the concept and is able to adapt to different questions. I usually help the students refer to their textbooks and help them learn to find the answers themselves too instead of giving up too quickly or being frustrated too fast.
