Experience and Dedication: I have 7 years of experience teaching students from IB in both Singapore and overseas. Previous and current students have studied in Hwa Chong International, ACS International and the Australian International School. I am able to teach HL/SL Math A&A Math, A&I Math and Chemistry. About two thirds of my students have obtained a 6 or 7 in the subjects that I have coached. When it comes to teaching English, I will work together with the student on grammar first. Once the student's foundation is strengthened, we can look into expanding one's vocabulary by learning idioms, proverbs and other descriptive expressions. My students typically write essays every 2 or 3 weeks and we rotate between narrative, argumentative, discursive and descriptive essays. Track Record: My students were usually failing their subjects before they started lessons with me. I am passionate and I am able to motivate students to like the subject even when at first they do not seem to like the subject. Where necessary, we will relook at chapters from lower levels and I will re-teach those chapters so as to build up the student's foundation. Most of them received Good Progress Awards at the end of their first year of lessons with me. Some of my students, including 1 JC1 student from RI(JC), have also topped the level after a year of lessons with me. About 80% of students have scored an A / AL1-3 for their PSLE/O/A Levels and the remaining 20% scored a B / AL4.
