Experience and Dedication: Past student was a secondary 1 girl who scored badly for WA2 and I taught her in 2021, improved from a C6 to an A1. Previously disinterested in History supposedly interested in geography, now doing combined history and social studies. My teaching style is very suitable for slow students, I can elaborate carefully and I don't go into the details so fast as I simplify the main events first before going into the nitty gritty details. I like going through papers after papers and guide how they answer and the techniques and including increasing their contextual knowledge ( CK ) which is viable in achieving marks for paper 1. I know all the formats and topics for history and social studies as I have a sec 4 student in 2022 who took combined history and SS and scored from a fail to a B3 and I take full history and scored a B3 for o levels for Full Hist and an A1 for SS and Literature. I am very interested in Literature and have been scoring As and Bs since secondary 3 and got top in my class for my EOY in sec 3. I know all the methods to answering for poetry and essay writing and my methods are extremely easy to remember so to be able to write answers more proficiency. Social studies is a very strong subject of mine as it is very similar to history, writing wise and I can teach how to answer the questions well and run through the topics and contextual knowledge smoothly to allow the students to understand well about each topic and will be able to cite from other sources from the internet to allow the student to gain CK ( contextual knowledge) so to be able to score well. Able to teach English as I am teaching a primary 3 student as of now for English and taught a sec 1 student English is 2021 and she scored from a C5 to a B3 in the span of two months of lesson. Able to do comprehension, SW, cw, know the formats, oral and LC and scored a B3 for o level English For English, I have taught a sec 1 student ( 2021, scored from a C5 to a B3) how to answer situational writing questions and the formats of cw, including paper 2 recently ( a sec 4 student last year ) and I can do my best to make it extremely easy for students who are not exceptionally good at English and I can take very slow students as my methods are simple and routine so they can understand and pick up the answering techniques easier. I can help with comprehension as I have always scored well for compre ( O level Section A 4/5, section B 14/20, section C 10/10, Summary 10/15) and I can teach creative writing as well for secondary school students. Despite easier learning, I like to tackle tough words but with easy teaching, students pick it up in no time. Currently teaching a primary 3 schooler English and soon to be teaching primary 4 English as well. Taught my P6 student (2020) English for PSLE and she scored an A for her English psle. Taught a bit of Chinese and her score was a B despite getting a C in the previous exams during her primary school days. English grade is an A for PSLE 2018 and O level grade for English is B3, Literature and Social studies is an A1, History is a B3. I am patient, precise and if needed strict. I can be fun as I do not like to force students to study as I believe studying should be done willingly and if needed, I will be strict on them so they can still behave. I will not give them lengthy lectures but instead do hands on and get them to speak more to develop their confidence in speaking and answering. I can deal with kids who are easily distracted and kids who can be cheeky and be a bit naughty. I have 3 primary school students in total and I teach them all in English, a girl who is Primary 3 this year improved from a just pass in MYE to a 58/80 in EOY. Recently though sec 4 student for a while for o levels for only a month before exams, has yet to know about his results. Taught a sec 2 boy (2024) English, Literature, History and Geography and he got all A1 for his humanities and A2 for his English for EOY. Taught another sec 2 girl humanities and she has since from a fail in Geog and Literature and a mere pass in History to B3 for Geog, B4 for literature and B4 for History. Taught a sec 1 boy English and he got from C6 to B4 within a span of 3 weeks.
