Experience and Dedication: for econs: - highly exam technique and answering focused on improving results in a short period of time. have previously prepared answer structures and standard paragraphs of answers that students can apply during exams based on key words in the question stem - taught a very desperate junior using this technique and was highly effective - from E in prelims to A in A levels. will go through high yield concepts and different question types in detail as well. will also go through question analysis for short answering questions as it tends to be something students struggle with quite a bit. having been an A level student myself not too long ago, i am also more familiar with the common areas students struggle with and will work with the student to identify gaps to improve results. for bio: - highly exam technique and answering focused on improving results in a short period of time. will be teaching using RJC notes and summaries will be provided after each topic. i have prepared over 30 past year prelims papers from different schools + over 50 tutorial/topical practices to familiarize students with the common questions that is examinable as well as key words for each topic. having been an A level student myself not too long ago, i am also more familiar with the common areas students struggle with, how to prepare for exams and will work with the student and parents to identify gaps to improve results. have previously taught 1 junior whose bio results improved by 4 grades between prelims and A levels and currently also teaching a private candidate H2 biology, hence am familiar with the current syllabus for english/creative writing: - i have been teaching primary school english tuition for the past 5 years with students doing very well for PSLE. my strengths are in grammar, synthesis, comprehension, essay and oral. i have compiled materials over the years for both essay and paper 2. model essays that i will teach with are of much higher level compared to those in assessment books, rest assured. will prepare student with a variety of essays that can be applied to a broad spectrum of essay questions during the exam. will also break down key essay techniques that can be used to improve results quickly. as for paper 2, i will recommend and scan additional practices for areas student is week in, especially comprehension. 3 months before PSLE, i have also prepared a final revision question deck for practice to recap all the grammar/synthesis rules as well as common vocabulary phrasal verbs tested. i have no issues if parent would like to sit in for the lesson as well, provided the environment remains conducive for the lesson.
