Experience and Dedication: Been teaching students for past 16 years and all of them were taught throughout their academic years till O levels. SCIENCE: are two main focus. One, concept reinforcement to ensure knowledge retention through inquiry based learning and two, precise answering techniques using keywords. For science, I’ve one P5 student that I have taught in all 3 subjects since P2. Hence, I’m very familiar and well versed in the syllabus. FOR ENGLISH: apart from improving on the fluency in reading and comprehension, the other focus is on developing sentence structure, grammar, and composition skills. For science, there are two main focus. One, concept reinforcement to ensure knowledge retention and two, precise answering techniques using keywords. For Phonics, I would adopt the synthetic phonics approach to teach the phonemes and the association with graphemes. For English, the focus is on listening, speaking, reading and writing, of which I would adopt the drills, repetition and visuals to enhance the retention of foundational literacy skills in English. My forte is to teach foreign students English with zero or minimal English foundation for 16 years and counting and have also taught in various institutes. For science, I’ve one P4 student currently of whom I’ve been coaching her in English, Math, science since she was P3. Hence, I’m very familiar and updated with the syllabus.
