Experience and Dedication: Personal Qualities: Students (and their parents) see me as a patient, responsible, approachable person. Being a mum to a pair of primary school going children, and with almost 20 years of experience, I'm able to connect with students without much difficulty. Teaching Styles & Methodologies: Guiding children, particularly in P4 P5 P6 Math, is what I've been focusing on. I emphasize on re-attempting questions so as to reinforce what was learnt during lesson. As every student is different, I see a need to customise my worksheets base on their level of understanding. Also, I find that students need to be exposed to more than one technique to solve math problems, so they have to be familiar and be flexible with the various solving methods, Hence, I not only teach my students the usual methods adopted by schools, but I also do teach them the short-cuts. Most importantly, I do not teach using algebra method. I also have experience conducting group tuition at my own location. All in all, I've guided numerous students (estimated at 50 so far) of various abilities in managing Mathematics over these 20 years. Current and Past students are from ACS Primary, Cedar Primary, CHIJ OLN, Gongshang, Hong Wen, Monfort, Raffles Girls Primary, River Valley Primary, Rosyth, Unity Primary, Zhonghua Primary, just to name a few. Almost all saw progress under my coaching. A noteworthy track record is a Primary 4 student achieving excellent progress from a fail to 75+ in 6 months, and there are also a handful higher abilities students who maintain above 80 high score range. Materials Provided: My students practice on my own compilation of exam standard questions from past papers, sorted according to topics. Practising on such questions allow students to adapt fast to the difficulty they will face in their own exams.
