Detailed tutoring method/philosophy for this level (or higher) & subject:
Engagement with the kids is very important. they only learn when they can connect with the teacher. I use applied technique for them. learn through fun ways, and apply them to their work
Experience and Dedication: I've had experience teaching in both a tuition center and privately. I understand that every student has a unique learning style, and through the years, I've learned to adapt my teaching according to my students' needs. I want to make sure that all of them truly understand what I've taught them, instead of solely memorizing content. I find that not only is understanding more effective, but it makes learning all the more fun! I've seen great improvement in my students so far, and I hope to be able to inspire as many of them as I can in the future. Recently, my student with the largest improvement went from failing Mathematics in June to a 7 in his promotional exams!
Experience and Dedication: Taught children of parents' friends tuition after O levels, during JC, and after completing JC, before enlisting in the army. Have also helped out with Sunday School at the church.
Experience and Dedication: I have experience tutoring Secondary 3 and 4 students in E-Math, as well as upper primary students in mathematics. My teaching approach focuses on identifying and addressing the areas where each student feels the least confident in, ensuring that we first strengthen foundational skills. Once these basics are firm, I gradually introduce more challenging exercises, adjusting the pace to match the student’s unique learning style. This personalised approach is essential, as every student has their own strengths and pace.
Generally, I also bring a warm and engaging energy to each session, creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions if they face any doubts. This approach not only builds their confidence, but also creates a positive attitude toward learning. My goal is to help students improve their understanding of mathematics and, most importantly, to find enjoyment in the process.
